The student should be able to: - perform calculations with complex numbers, and use integration by parts, - carry out partial fraction decomposition. The student should be well acquainted with: - the sine and cosine functions, - improper integrals over unbounded intervals. The student should be familiar with: - the concept of linearity from linear algebra, - Euler's formula. The student should have an understanding of the complex plane.
