The content of the course provides an introduction to the product development chain and the central concepts and principles of sustainable production systems. The course deals with workshop technical measurement technology and dimensional control and their role in achieving increased manufacturing precision. Finally, the course provides an introduction to the most common structural materials and especially metallic materials whose microstructure, properties and behaviour in connection with plastic deformation are treated.
