The course deals with Swedish and European IT law and legal issues that are of importance in connection with the development and use of modern information technology (IT), the digitization of society and digital environments. The course consists of different thematic parts that are structured based on laws and regulations that concern processing of personal data, information society services, data and artificial intelligence, freedom of speech, copyright and e-commerce. The course also provides a general introduction to law and the Swedish and European legal systems. The focus of the course is on commercial IT law, which is studied from a practical perspective, i.e. with regard to real phenomena.
