The course looks at project management and system development models, and their phases, roles – including areas of responsibility – and work duties that need to be initiated, planned, implemented, followed up and completed in each phase and of each role. Further, the course covers the budgeting of IT projects as well as different tools, techniques, methods and documents that can be used in each phase of each role for them to be able to perform their tasks. The course concludes with a project in which students initiate and plan a small IT project and the effects it has when introduced into a business.

General entry requirements + Mathematics 2a or 2b or 2c, Social Sciences 1b or 1a1 + 1a2. Or: Mathematics level 2a or level 2b or level 2c, Social Sciences level 1b or level 1a2
