The course introduces students to basic research knowledge skills. Using tourism theory and discourse, the course introduces students to critical reading, writing, and thinking skills. Through providing students with a solid theoretical grounding in tourism, the course offers students the opportunity to develop their analytical and evaluative skills so that they become able to connect ideas, theories, and frameworks within an interdisciplinary context. The course will engage students in problem-solving and allow them to understand the relationships between concepts, theories, and practical situations. The course will introduce students to literature reviews and critical reviews of literature, qualitative and quantitative data, and secondary sources.
