The course content is advanced knowledge regarding semiconductor techniques, optical processes and optical components which are use in different systems to generate, modulate and detect light. The course primarily deals with light propagation in waveguides and fibres, optical properties of semiconductors and related materials, light emitting diodes, lasers, photodetectors etc.
Behörighet
The courses Semiconductor devices 7.5 credits and Applied electromagnetism 7.5 credits. English 6 or English level 2. Exemption of the requirement in Swedish is granted for those with foreign grades.
