How can industry transition from linear to circular production?<br> In this course, you will receive an introduction to circular manufacturing with a focus on metal components and real industrial applications. You will gain an understanding of fundamental concepts and principles, such as closed material loops and value-retention strategies. The course provides an overview of key strategies for circular manufacturing, such as the 10R framework and remanufacturing, and introduces methods and tools such as Design for X and life cycle assessment. You will also have the opportunity to practice identifying suitable circular strategies for products and production systems, as well as applying these in an industrial context. After completing the course, you will have the ability to analyze and evaluate different circular strategies from both environmental and economic perspectives.

Behörighet

Academic degree of at least 180 ECTS credits within Engineering and/or Technology or passed courses of at least 40 credits in the main field of study within Engineering and/or Technology and at least 1 year of work experience in the manufacturing industry or at least 4 years of work experience in the manufacturing industry. Proof of English proficiency is required.
