The course deals with evolutionary processes in populations, macro evolution and speciation, extinction and biogeographical patterns, and evolution at the molecular level. Instruction is in the form of lectures, seminars, an individual assignment consisting of an overarching question to be answered in writing with reference to course literature, and other written assignments completed and handed in throughout the course.
