The course alternates between theory and practice. Students conduct tests on the basis of web standards and evaluate the compatibility of web pages in different web browsers. XML and JSON, two standards for data transfer between different web services and/or information systems are introduced. By applying the two formats in combination with already acquired web development knowledge, students are expected to solve implementation assignments in a course project. Beyond scheduled hours, students also independently search for information on ongoing work on standardization of these data formats, information to solve laboratory tasks and to preparesubmissions. Instruction is in the form of lectures, laboratory sessions and workshops.
