These courses are offered to students on the bachelor's programme in biomedicine at KI (or equivalent studies), one course per year of the programme. The courses will give an introduction to how research is conducted. The courses consists of an introduction to how to write scientifically, to document research and an introduction to ethical considerations. The major part of the course consists of practically taking part in a research project. The course ends with oral presentations and a written report of the conducted research.

At least grade G (pass) on the courses _Introduction to biomedical science, General and organic chemistry, Cell, stem cell and developmental biology, Biochemistry, Genetics, genomics and functional genomics, Chemical biology, Biostatistics,Tissue biology, Immunology and microbiology, Neuroscience, Physiology, Pathology, Pharmacology and toxicology,The life science industry, Molecular medicine - oncology_, and _Molecular medicine - cardiometabolic and infectious diseases_ within the Bachelor's Programme in Biomedicine. In addition, proficiency in English equivalent to English 6/English B is required.
