<p>In this course, you will learn how different market forms work, from perfect competition to oligopoly, and how they can affect firms' pricing and production decisions. During the course, you will also gain insights into how companies strategically adapt their behaviour based on the market in which they operate. Furthermore, you are introduced to the concept of "welfare", its connection to market structures, and how it can be affected by so-called market failures. Finally, we discuss the arguments for and against government intervention in markets in light of their impact on growth, redistribution, and welfare.
