The course intends to provide the students with the mathematics that they need for advanced undergraduate and beginning graduate study in physical sciences and engineering, and to develop a strong background for those who will continue into the mathematics of advanced theoretical physics. The course also presents the mathematical methods of quantum mechanics in a form which emphasizes the unity of different techniques.
