The future of party politics in Western Europe is the central focus of this course, which critically examines current theoretical and political debates on parties and party systems. You will develop the ability to connect questions about party change with contemporary and future challenges. The course also explores politically pressing issues such as social conflicts, value change, globalisation, and radical right-wing populism, aiming to enhance your understanding of how the development of party politics shape Europe’s future.

Behörighet

Minimum of 90 credits in a main field of study in the social sciences or economics, of which at least 30 credits in the study of Political Science or an equivalent subject. English 6 or equivalent.
