The course is set out to provide knowledge to address data science problems. It focuses on machine learning techniques such as decisions trees and logistic regression, Expectation Maximization, Support Vector Machines, Markov and Bayesian networks.

Behörighet

In order to meet the general entry requirements for the course, you must have accomplished a minimum of 120 ECTS of university studies, out of which 60 ECTS in the areas of computer or system science. The studies shall have included Introductory Programming (for example D0009E Introduction to Programming, 7,5ECTS or D0024E Software Development with Java II, 7,5ECTS) and Fundamentals of Databases (for example D0004N Database Systems I, 7,5ECTS or D0018E Database Technology, 7,5ECTS) . The Advanced Data Mining Course also requires the completion of a basic data mining course such as D0025E Data Mining, 7,5 ECTS. Proficiency in English equivalent to Swedish upper secondary course English 6/level 2
