<p>This course is aimed at those who wish to develop their skills in composition and arranging in a masterclass format. The course takes place during the Båstad Chamber Music Festival 2026. </p><p>The course takes place from Sunday 21th of June through Thursday 25th June 2026, with arrival on Saturday 20th of June. Prior to the festival week, participants are expected to prepare various composition and arranging assignments, which will be further developed on site. </p><p>The course is aimed towards composers and music students who wish to develop their compositional skills and receive constructive feedback on their works. Topics covered include composition, form, instrumentation, analysis, and notation. Teaching may be offered both individually and in seminar format depending on circumstances, and time is also allocated during the week for independent compositional work and other assignments. Participants will also have the opportunity to attend the chamber music concerts held during the festival. Information will be sent well in advance to applicants who have been admitted. </p><p>Accommodation and meals are provided by the festival for an additional fee. </p>

Behörighet

General and specific entry requirements: studying or has studied an educational programme at a music academy or equivalent, at least 7.5 credits in composition - classical specialisation, along with submitted and approved portfolios.
