<p>The Master’s Programme in Language and Linguistics offers a unique opportunity for pursuing advanced studies in languages and linguistics. It is intended for you who are interested in increasing your knowledge of language and broadening your theoretical understanding of linguistic questions.</p><p>The MA programme in Language and Linguistics consists of seven different specialisations and 18 subject areas. Note, however, that not all specialisations and subject areas are offered every year. </p><p>The specialisation in Modern Languages offers several different languages. For the 2026 admission round, the specialisation in Modern Languages offers Japanese, French, Spanish, Italian and Modern Greek. You choose you language when you apply to the specialisation. Within this specialisation, you will broaden your knowledge and skills in theoretical and practical linguistics while also while also working on your proficiency in your chosen language.</p>

Behörighet

Bachelor’s degree specializing in the subject chosen for the Master’s programme Completed at least 90 credits in the chosen language. Beginner level courses cannot be included in these. Bachelor’s thesis, or other equivalent academic work, relevant to the chosen subject English course 6 (advanced proficiency) Good written and oral command of the language
