<p>There is a power in design that can open up opportunities to contribute to new design of new technology and to the development of society at large. Creating the conditions for people to participate in design processes has great potential to achieve stronger and more relevant end results. At the same time, it can be a challenge to achieve a collaboration that is based on mutual information and inspiration and where everyone can be involved. When successful, it is possible to create contexts that spark with commitment, joy and surprising results. This course focuses on methods for user participation and collaborative design processes. The course deals with the process: above all how to generate new ideas and products, services, environments or programs. The course is aimed at people with different backgrounds who work with, or have knowledge of, product development, architecture, policy issues, sustainability issues, service design or who make design decisions.</p>
