<p>Take your Ukrainian reading further with richer, more complex texts. Build confidence as you explore culture, history, and meaning through language. Strengthen your skills, deepen your understanding, and discover new layers of Ukrainian expression.</p><p>This course is for you who have Beginners' Course I and II (30 credits) plus Ukrainian: Ukrainian Text Study I (UKRA15). </p><p>The course focuses on practical reading comprehension, translation, and discussion, with an emphasis on understanding how different genres use language in different ways. The course helps you work with modern Ukrainian texts by giving you the tools to identify stylistic differences, recognise cultural and historical references, and learn how language choices shape meaning and style. The selected Ukrainian texts provide insight into both linguistic structures and broader sociocultural contexts, helping you develop confident reading comprehension of both fiction and non-fiction. </p><p>As you read, you will learn to understand key intermediate vocabulary, analyse collocations and idiomatic expressions, and explain important grammatical structures. Throughout the course, you will strengthen your ability to examine language critically, and apply linguistic analysis in meaningful discussions. You will also apply Ukrainian grammatical structures in text analysis, discussions, and your own reflections, allowing you to use the language actively and thoughtfully. Through debates and text-based exercises, you will sharpen your critical thinking and continue to grow your Ukrainian language skills.</p><p> </p><p> </p>
