Physiology deals with the correlation of structure and function at the level of the cell, tissue, organ and organism, for multicellular organisms. Physiology not only describes function: it also asks why and how. The course requires previous studies in chemistry at higher education level. It is a component of the bachelor programmes in biology, marine biology and in molecular biology, and can be taken as an individual course. The course is given January - March.

Behörighet

Admittance to the course requires basic eligibility, knowledge equivalent to Swedish upper secondary school course Biology B and 30 credits in Chemistry, including a minimum of 7,5 credits in Biochemistry. (Three credits corresponds to approximately two weeks full-time studies).
