This course provides in-depth knowledge and skills in geographical information systems (GIS) as it relates to planning. Topics covered in the course include spatial statistics, suitability analysis, network-based modelling and 3D visualization and analysis. The course employs problem-based learning to teach students how to put their GIS skills into practice. The main software used is ArcGIS Pro, complemented by computer-aided design (CAD) applications and Web GIS solutions.
Behörighet
Univ: Enrollment in and successful completion of examinations equivalent to 7.5 credits within the course Introduction to GIS (15 credits) or equivalent GIS knowledge corresponding to 7.5 credits.
