The course provides knowledge of biological evolution at an advanced general education level. Great emphasis is placed on understanding evolutionary principles and mechanisms, with examples from present-day nature and life that has existed throughout Earth's history. Modern evolutionary research is covered with several interesting examples, and a historical scientific overview of evolutionary theory is also provide.
