The course initially involves an introduction to Renewable Energy Technologies (RETs) and related projects in accordance with their main advantages and disadvantages. It will then provide for a decomposition analysis of RETs into several sustainability criteria and describe the need for an integrated assessment of competing projects. Multi-Criteria Decision Analysis methods will be introduced as an appropriate operational tool in renewable energy planning and their relevance will be highlighted in the context of wind power. **Outline for distance course:** The course is given as a net-based course. A forum for discussion is available. To participate in the course you will need a computer with internet connection.
