This course provides an overview of the origin and evolution of life on Earth. Major themes include, among others, the Cambrian world, the Palaeozoic seas, the invasion of land, the rise of the reptiles, the Tertiary world, and the rise of primates and Man. In the demonstrations, we will explore the unique collections of fossil and living vertebrates stored in the Museum of Evolution. The course includes about ten evening meetings.
