All types of organisations are expected to manage their resources effectively and sustainably and achieve set goals. Therefore, there is a demand for people with expertise in accounting, financial analysis, auditing, strategy and sustainability. The Master's Programme in Accounting and Financial Management at Uppsala University will give you these skills, while also offering the opportunity to deepen your knowledge in one of the programme’s two specialisations. In the specialisation of Strategic Management Control, course topics include controlling, financial management philosophies, and change management within organisations. You will study and analyse both the financial system and its organisational context, that is how to design and use management control systems to formulate and implement strategies. It prepares you for roles such as controller, financial manager, or consultant. An important feature of many courses is working in study groups where you get to practice leading discussions and seminars with a wider audience. During one semester you can choose between internship, elective courses or study abroad. The language of instruction is English.

_Academic requirements_ A Bachelor's degree, equivalent to a Swedish Kandidatexamen, from an internationally recognised university. Also required is 90 credits in business studies and 15 credits in statistics. _Language requirements_ Proficiency in English equivalent to the Swedish upper secondary course English 6. This requirement can be met either by achieving the required score on an internationally recognised test, or by previous upper secondary or university studies in some countries.
