The multidisciplinary Master's Programme in Russian and Eurasian Studies offers a unique opportunity to study Russia and the post-Soviet region while learning Russian through intensive language courses. The programme has an international profile and prepares graduates for a variety of professional careers focused on Russia and Eurasia in the private and public sectors, in Sweden and abroad. This programme is multidisciplinary, incorporating several academic disciplines, including cultural studies, economics, history, international relations, law, political science and media studies. In parallel with courses based on these subjects, you will take specialised Russian-language courses. This combination makes the programme unique in Scandinavia. You will also have the possibility of an internship in Sweden or abroad, or language study at a European or Russian partner university. This programme provides you with a highly sought-after knowledge and understanding of Russia and the post-Soviet region in combination with proficiency in the Russian language. Public agencies, private companies and international organisations have a growing need for area experts with this competence, both nationally and internationally. The programme prepares you for a career as an analyst in the private and public sphere, as well as for an academic career, both in Sweden and abroad. The language of instruction is English.

Behörighet

_Academic requirements_ A Bachelor's degree, equivalent to a Swedish Kandidatexamen, from an internationally recognised university, and with a main field of study within the Social Sciences or Arts. _Language requirements_ Proficiency in English equivalent to the Swedish upper secondary course English 6. This requirement can be met either by achieving the required score on an internationally recognised test, or by previous upper secondary or university studies in some countries.
