The degree thesis has either a linguistic, a literary or a language education focus. Focus and subject is chosen in consultation with the supervisor. Students who want to write a thesis that focuses on language education must have taken a course in language learning and teaching. During the course, students write a degree thesis in acceptable French, 20-25 pages (7500-9000 words). Students defend their degree thesis at an examining seminar.

60 credits in the main field of study French, including 30 credits in French II
