The course focuses on issues related to the literary construction of gender and identity, with a particular focus on sexuality, diversity, (post)migration and social sustainability. The purpose is to raise awareness about and theorise the connection between different literary texts and their context. Their social relevance is also discussed. In addition, intercultural aspects are also touched on as part of the literary identity construction.
