The course deals with the problems that arise when human rights are applied in the case of less empowered groups. The primary focus is on children, migrants and minorities, as well as aspects such as gender and citizenship. The course discusses and problematises how human rights have become a dominant framework for the way in which states and citizens/individuals should act in relation to each other.
60 credits within history, religious studies, sociology, political science or international relations, and English 6/English level 2. (Exemption of the requirement in Swedish for those with foreign grades)
