The course develops the students’ listening comprehension and communicative competences in Italian through interactive forms. In addition, the course allows for a deeper understanding of Italian cultural and societal issues through the reading and discussion of texts with diverse content (fact-oriented, fiction, etc.).

Italian A: Phonetics and Oral Proficiency, 7.5 credits, Italian A: Grammar and Written Proficiency, 7.5 credits and one of the Italian A: Culture and Society courses, 7.5 credits
