Kursen behandlar utbildningsfilosofiska frågeställningar med betoning på kunskap, bildning, medborgarskap, undervisning och fostran. I kursen behandlas ett antal grundläggande texter inom utbildningsfilosofin, klassiker som Platon, Comenius, Kant och Dewey.
