The course aims to extend understanding of filmic storytelling and to develop personal aesthetic competence. The course analyses picture storytelling with respect to scriptwriting, dramaturgy and filmic means of expression such as mise-en-scène, cinematography, editing and sound. The course deals with the effects of different techniques and story telling tricks in relation to moving images. The student develops an extended knowledge of the aesthetics and composition of moving images.
Entry requirements
75 cr in Moving image production including Scriptwriting for TV and film 4, TV series and storytelling, 15 cr undergraduate level 1, or equivalent knowledge.
