The course focuses on people with disabilities from a user, community and participatory perspective. Living conditions for people with disabilities are studied based on support systems, collaboration, laws and regulations. The UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities is addressed during the course, as is current research in the field of disability. Ethical issues in the social work with people with disabilities are discussed during the course.

90 credits in Social Work or Social Care, including a thesis of 15 credits
