The course includes a review of Spanish spelling and stress rules, as well as basic phonetic and phonological features with a focus on language usage. Lexical variation and different registers of spoken Spanish are dealt with, based on various audiovisual materials, such as newspaper articles, news reports, films, and documentaries. Both oral presentations and group discussions form key components of the course. The course also deals with Spanish phonetic variation from a dialectal perspective.

General entry requirements (with the exemption of the requirement in Swedish for those with foreign grades) + Spanish 3. Or: Spanish Further level 1
