The Cyber Defenders course offers a comprehensive introduction to cybersecurity, mainly tailored for non-technical professionals (e.g., Board of Directors), highlighting its significance in both personal and organizational settings. Students will delve into the motivations behind cyberattacks, risk analysis frameworks, and the critical role of cybersecurity policies in protecting information. The students will develop practical skills in utilizing security tools, implementing multi-factor authentication, and securing networks. Additionally, the course addresses emerging technologies, such as blockchain and the Internet of Things (IoT), while tackling these technologies' unique security challenges. Ethical considerations and risk assessment methodologies for IT, IoT, and Operational Technology (OT) environments will also be explored.

Entry requirements

Degree of Bachelor or Degree of Bachelor of Science in Engineering. The degree must be equivalent to a Swedish kandidatexamen or Swedish högskoleingenjörsexamen and must have been awarded from an internationally recognised university. English 6 or English level 2. Exemption of the requirement in Swedish is granted for those with foreign grades.
