The course covers the theory and practice of: \-The supply and demand for labour \-Wage formation: compensating wage differences, human capital and efficiency wages, and labour market organisations \-Education and the labour market \-Gender differences in the labour market \-Migration, integration, and discrimination in the labour market \-Causes and consequences of unemployment \-Active and passive labour market policy In the empirical part of the course, there is a special emphasis on the conditions and institutions of the Swedish labour market, and comparisons are made with conditions and institutions in other countries.

Entry requirements

Economics, 60 ECTS credits, including at least 30 ECTS credits at the G1F level or higher, or equivalent.
