I kursen undersöks och diskuteras sprÄklig variation utifrÄn aspekter som regionalitet, social grupptillhörighet, kön, Älder samt etnicitet. Dessutom diskuteras hur sprÄket varierar i olika tal- och skriftsprÄkliga sammanhang. Vidare behandlar kursen svensk sprÄkpolitik och hur den vuxit fram. Inom kursen gör studenten en fÀltstudie dÀr olika sociolingvistiska metoder tillÀmpas.
