The programme is conducted as a hybrid education meaning that lectures and assignments take place both at the university and on distance.<br> A specialist nurse has extensive nursing and medical knowledge in a specific health care area. A primary health care nurse assesses, plans, performs and evaluates the nursing process involving individuals and their experiences of health and ill health, which means identifying illness, symptoms, and functional reduction as well as self-care needs and resources for promoting health and adjustment to a changed life situation.

Entry requirements

Nursing licence issued by the Swedish National Board of Health and Welfare. A Degree of Bachelor of Science in Nursing (180 credits), including a degree project of 15 credits, a Degree of Bachelor in Nursing (including a degree project of 15 credits), or equivalent qualifications. Professional experience in nursing corresponding to 24 months of full-time work. Swedish 3 or Swedish as a second language 3, and English 6/A.
