Students are expected to use theoretical knowledge in a chosen area of applied mathematics to complete a project carried out in conjunction with a company or research project. The project is to include both theoretical and practical tasks. A workplace supervisor is appointed. If the project is carried out at a company, two supervisors, one at the company and one at the university, are appointed, The course is concluded with a report submitted to the course convener and an oral presentation. Students are responsible for arranging their placement themselves in consultation with the convener. A description of the tasks is submitted to the course convener for approval in advance.

Entry requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics or related field. Completed 30 ECTS credits in Mathematics at Master's level, or equivalent.
