This is a web-based course which includes a number of digital meetings. Instruction is in the form of self-study, introductory lectures, seminars, peer review, and discussion in the virtual learning environment, as well as digital communication. The aim of the course is for students to acquire in-depth theoretical knowledge of supervision models in order to be able to supervise students in clinical studies. Groups of students discuss and reflect upon diversity and ethical issues related to their own professional experience of students and supervision, as well as assigned cases. An important part of the course is to discuss and reflect upon their own and other students' experiences of supervision. The course covers the following: - Supervision models - Teaching - Learning process/style - Learning environment - Person-centred care - The function of supervision - Supervision process - Communication and relationship processes - Models for reflection - Formative and summative assessment of student performance - Ethical issues and diversity aspects - Life-long learning, interprofessional learning, teamwork

Entry requirements

Licensed nurse or other licensed profession in health, nursing or social care, plus upper secondary level Swedish 3 or Swedish as a second language 3 and English 6 or A, or equivalent
