The course comprises the following components: <br> Basic ecology with an emphasis on ecological system service.<br> The basics of the concept sustainable development.<br> Climate models and their importance for societal development.<br> The importance of natural resource usage and lifestyes for a sustainable society.<br> The role of different actors in sustainable development efforts. The course is offered as distance education with instruction in the form of lectures, seminars and hand-in assignments. There are no mandatory on-campus meetings.
