I kursen analyseras och diskuteras vad som kännetecknar olika sorters texter. Särskilt behandlas samspelet mellan ord och bild, samt hur detta har utvecklats i modern tid. Studenten får dessutom kännedom om hur korpusar kan användas för att identifiera språkliga särdrag i olika texttyper.
