The course explores theories of body perception with a focus on health from a sustainability perspective that includes gender, social and cultural aspects. The student will develop the ability to identify problems, analyse and identify solutions in combination with developing both a theoretical and clinical understanding of the relationship around body perception and health throughout the life span. The student will also gain an in-depth understanding of factors that affect the psychosocial understanding of adaptation based on social, cultural and a gender perspective.
Passing grade worth at least 135 credits, of which at least 60 credits in nursing, medicine, health sciences, psychology or equivalent.
