<p>Computer science is one of the most dynamic and expansive fields of science. In addition to having a deep understanding of the theoretical and technical foundations, professionals in this field must be able to apply the technology to challenging problems, and integrate it with other technologies. The programme offers four specialisations, among which are Visualisation and Computer Graphics, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, and Programming and Software Methods. Linköping University is home to one of the most important centres of computer science and engineering in Northern Europe, renowned for top-quality research and education. Science Park Mjärdevi, an incubator with 300 knowledge-intensive companies where many of our alumni are employed, is adjacent to the campus.</p>

Entry requirements

A bachelor's degree equivalent to a Swedish Kandidatexamen with a major in one of the following or equivalent subject areas: -computer science -information technology -software engineering -computer engineering Or A bachelor's degree equivalent to a Swedish Kandidatexamen with a minor in computer science or related subject area, with a minimum of 60 ECTS credits in computer-related subjects equivalent to: -programming -data structures -databases -software engineering -computer hardware -computer networks At least 24 ECTS credits in mathematics/applied mathematics and/or application of mathematics relevant for the programme including courses in discrete mathematics, linear algebra and calculus. English corresponding to the level of English in Swedish upper secondary education (Engelska 6 or Engelska nivå 2). Exemption from Swedish.
