<p>This foundational course in cryptotechnology offers a comprehensive understanding of the types of algorithms available and the requirements placed upon them. Certain algorithms receive detailed examination, while others are reviewed more broadly. The course commences with historical ciphers and subsequently delves into both symmetric and asymmetric ciphers, key transfer methods, including quantum cryptography. Furthermore, it introduces post-quantum cryptography, designed to withstand future quantum computer threats.&nbsp;</p><p>The course is delivered entirely online, with no on-campus meetings.</p>

Entry requirements

150 ECTS credits passed in an engineering subject, mathemathics or physics of which at least 60 ECTS credits in one of the main field of studies: Mathemathics or Physics or Electrical engineering or Computer Science and Engineering English corresponding to the level of English in Swedish upper secondary education (Engelska 6 or Engelska nivå 2).
