<p>The course deals with historical, theoretical, and empirical knowledge about integration in the contemporary welfare state. We highlight different perspectives on integration and discuss how the concept can be understood in light of ideas about migration, segregation and citizenship, and in a system of multi-level governance. During the course, we also delve deeper into the question of how integration relates to social, economic, and ecological sustainability, in education, working life, and family formation.</p>

Entry requirements

General entry requirements for undergraduate studies and English and History and Social Studies corresponding to the level in Swedish upper secondary education (Engelska 6 or Engelska nivå 2, Historia 1b or 1a1 and 1a2 or Historia nivå 1b or nivå 1a2 and Samhällskunskap 1b or 1a1 and 1a2 or Samhällskunskap nivå 1b or nivå 1a2).
