<p>The course provides a hands-on introduction to the microanalysis of human interaction. You will be actively involved in the full research process starting with ethical considerations, data collection and transcription, and ending with the identification of relevant phenomena and methodological and analytic arguments. During the course, you will learn to analyse linguistic and social aspects of interaction in institutions as well as mundane settings, attending to&nbsp;activity types, meaning, learning and understanding. You will study both verbal and nonverbal aspects of human action, including the use of technologies and artefacts in meaning-making. You will also study the historical roots of the approach,&nbsp;and learn to critically discuss theory and findings.</p>

Entry requirements

Passed foundation course 30 ECTS credits and continuation course 30 ECTS credits in a main field of study within Humanities or Social Sciences or Language Pathology or Psychology, or equivalent Specialisation course 30 ECTS credits with at least 22,5 ECTS credits passed in the same subject area as above or equivalent English corresponding to the level of English in Swedish upper secondary education (English 6 or Engelska nivå 2) Exemption from Swedish
