The topics of the modules are dealing with scientific knowledge and scientific reasoning, what part statistics and probability play in science, how models are used in science and how to use scientific knowledge in policymaking. The reading materials for the course will be a combination of text book chapters to introduce some of the core concepts of philosophy of science, and articles from scientific journals to exemplify how these concepts can be applied in scientific work.</p>
