<p>Scientific research may produce valuable knowledge and innovations, but may also give rise to risks. This course provides an overview of criteria that scientific knowledge should adhere to and requirements that research should meet to be ethically justifiable. A political philosophical framework that explains the role of research and knowledge production in a democratic society is offered. This framework is used to assess the justifiability of actual research conduct and evidence-based recommendations.</p>

180 ECTS credits passed including 90 ECTS credits in a main field of study English corresponding to the level of English in Swedish upper secondary education (Engelska 6 or Engelska nivå 2) Exemption from Swedish
