The course is comprised of the art and visual culture of the 20th century and early 21st century. It emphasises the expansion of mass media images and new media in contemporary art. The diversity of art and what this implies is emphasised as well as concepts such as modernism and post modernism in combination with gender related and global perspectives. This course is part of 1KD150, and is also offered as a single subject course.
