Kursen syftar till att ge grundläggande insikter och färdigheter inom teknisk maskinritning och CAD-teknik. Inom CAD tekniken behandlas såväl 2D- som 3D-konstruktion. Dessutom behandlas övergripande produktdatahantering, PDM, överföring av information till andra system såsom CAM, FEM mm.
